A plain-language summary of how Maya uses artificial intelligence. This does not replace our Privacy Notice.
What the AI does
Maya reads information you choose to share — such as your profile, photos, messages, date debriefs and coaching questions — and generates feedback, suggestions and analysis to help you think through dating decisions.
What information may be analysed
- Profile bios, prompts and photos you upload
- Messages you send in coach chat
- Conversations you paste or screenshot for analysis
- Date debrief answers and ratings
- Onboarding and profile information used for personalisation
We aim to send only what is needed for each feature.
What the AI does not know
The AI does not have direct access to dating apps, other people's private thoughts, or real-world events it has not been told about. It cannot know with certainty how someone feels about you.
Mistakes happen
AI can misunderstand context, miss nuance, or sound more confident than it should. Treat outputs as guidance to think with — not facts.
Personalisation and memory
The Service may remember context from your onboarding, past conversations, date debriefs and coaching goals to make responses more relevant. You can delete coach memories and other data from account privacy settings where available.
Uploaded photos
Photos you upload for profile review are stored so we can show them back to you and send them for analysis. Only upload images you have the right to use.
External AI provider
In production, analysis may be processed by Google's Gemini API when enabled. [AI PROVIDER DATA PROCESSING TERMS TO BE CONFIRMED BEFORE PRODUCTION] — including retention and training use.
In development, a mock AI may be used instead with no external transfer.
Deleting your information
You can delete coach messages, analyses, uploaded images and your full account from Account → Privacy & data. For help, see Privacy requests.
